Any way to quiet down?


This thing is loudddd
and I love it
but you know how it is neighbors whining and whatnot

 

idk if theres any way to quiet them down but do you like the exhaust? how was the power increase ive heard them in person and like the sound they have. nice and loud when you open up on them

I got it with the exhaust already on, and the carb jetted for it,
It feels more powerfull than my friends 2001 300 with stock header (WB E series muffler) and stock jetting.
Before I went up a tooth on the front sprocket, id annihilate him in a drag, i also weigh about 50 more lbs than him,
after i went up a tooth, im still quicker, but not by much, and i top out a little higher than him
( i also have a real wobbly badly bent rear rim)

 

lol yea i love how they sound my front rims barely bent but it wobbles also lol

 

i have the same exhaust for the 300, as long as you dont have the jet model, you can put a "quiet core in" you can get one from dennis kirk for 25 bucks
i bought mine immediatly after i installed my cobra exhaust, much quieter, core fits tight but works fine

i am still also jetting my carb, i have tried many combinations and it still pops a little bit on decel from high rpms

i have been using keihin jets

my first set up was 128 main and 40 pilot and the needle on 4th slot with the air lid on

i also tried putting in a 42 pilot and still get a little pop

my next set up im gonna try the air lid off 132 main and a 42 pilot

it seemed to be running perfect other than this little pop
