adly 300(trx 300)backfiring and gear issues
hi guys, nice to meet you all, new in this forum and in the world of atv,so please excuse if being ignorant .hope you can help me solve my problem. also sry for my bad engilsh, not from around..hhh
i own a 2010 adly 300,its basically a honda trx 300,almost everything is the same.
my problem is that i cant get into second and third gear, its happening after shutting and re-starting the engine after an hour ride..
the only way to get in gear is lifting the lever using my hand.
so thats the gear..
and now for the second problem..
i have these extreme backfires on high rpms, huge power and speed lost!!
last time i ridden it was fine, tough i felt a bit of firing..also it was quite rainy and muddy..
i cheacked for the cdi connections, its was secured,so i dont think thats it..
the air filter is new, also the carb was sprayed with carb cleaner
im kinda lost, hope to get your response

Not being able to shift into gear without a lot of force as using your hand, leads me to think you have a bent shift fork in the transmission.
Back firing at high rpm could be an indication of a lean condition.
Possibly caused by a partially plugged main jet.
Just spraying a dirty carb with carb cleaned will not clean it.
The carb needs to be removed from the quad and disassembled and toroughly cleaned inside.
