Bought a new ATV that's been sitting for two years!
I think I got a great deal on my new four wheeler that I just bought today. It's a (either 2000-2004) Honda Foreman Rubicon 500. Not exactly sure on the year, I'll figure that out tomorrow when I tear it apart and check out the vin. I payed $420 for it so I think it's a great deal. Guy said it ran great and didn't smoke before it was parked for 2 years with a tarp over it. Brakes work, plastics look great besides all the caked on layer of stuff from sitting. Tires hold air and have a good bit of tread. Rolls fine. Everything seems good so far. Tomorrow I'm gonna take all the plastics off and clean them out until they look brand new. Also going to clean and degrease the frame really good until there's not any stuff left. Then I'm gonna clean the carb and figure out what else needs to be done once it's clean enough to work on! I'll post before pics of it tomorrow and let me know if you think I got a good deal or not.

Well today I gave it a deep quick clean on the outside before I started pulling things apart to keep myself clean while working. It looks a ton better already but I still have a lot to clean later. Also after i washed it I started removing all the panels. That took hours! It usually takes about 20 minutes but this one was different than the dirt bikes I usually work on. I Still have the front fenders and brush guards to remove. I do need help though. I removed all the bolts on the brush guard but it will not come off and I don't know what to do. It's loose and moves but won't come off at all. Is there anything I need to remove to pull it off? I couldn't find anything that looked at but maybe I'm not seeing something.
