BST 40 idles but bogs
After rebuilding the carb on my 2004 500 ATP, it idles nicely but won't rev. I have a carb bowl overflow leak so I need to go back and correct that. I haven't put the air filter, etc back on yet, but read elsewhere that it may be needed to make the diaphragm work properly. Could that be why it won't rev?

Sounds good
Have to have the air box and filter on or it will lean bog even if the carb is leaking out the over flow.. They're jetted with the air box and filter in mind. You might look over this guys BST40 on a Ktm. A little different carb but good reading. Plus shows how to set these floats correctly. One note though,it is hard to really stop one from leaking or dribbling at an idle. Just the nature of the beast. Make sure the over flow tube extends past the bash plate to be on the safe side in case it still does. The BST-40 Bible | Adventure Rider
