Default 2004 700 Twin Carb Adpter

For those that are looking for/ wanting to know what it is......


1st.....I removed my seat, then my air box, then....


2nd....I removed my front fairing ( this in not necessary, but I did makes easier to see what's happening.)

In the last pic, you can see where the adapter is split.
At this point....


3rd...you have to remove the bracket holding the carb on the inlet side.


4th.. loosen the clamp on the the back/outlet side of the carb.


5th.. clean any dirt that may be around the base of the adapter.


6th...remove the bolts that hold it on.

This was part of my idling problem.

A lot of people miss where this boot actually splits including me until I removed my first clamp and found it.Found the first one by spraying carb cleaner around it,then took the clamp off. Thanks for the pics as it hopefully will make it easier on others on the 700 and also the 600 if they come across this.
