Thanks I'm quite happy with the way it is looking. Once my brother gets his wife's 50th party
out of the way this weekend we'll be able to get together to tackle the motor.

The seat turned out OK. Not perfect, but it's just going to get muddy.

Yes, $7k for a quad is too much. We joke about a $1500 rule around here. It seems no matter how cheap you get a quad, you will always have at least $1500 in it before its over. I just bought a 300 king quad for $600 and I'm trying to break that rule. So far I have $774 in it, but that's only because I had parts laying around already. If I had to buy everything, I would have $1284 in it. Oops, I forgot I just bought a winch for $150 lol

I will have to add up what im into my DS650 for and see where i sit, i think i will come in just under $1500

now if you count the hitch for the car, gas for the first trip, other incidentals and stuff then im a little over

1.5 Years later......

The motor is done. Have to clean it off, fill it with oil, change the sprocket and put her in the frame.
Now if the weather will warm up to get all this done.

I also got tired of waiting for this one to get done so I bought a new one last summer. 2014 TRX450R. :-)

Oh no this one is getting done first this year. I am tired of having it around in this state. Bought it back in 2012 and it is turning out
to be my second longest project behind the Cub Cadet 100 that I bought in 2007 and has been in pieces since 2009....I gotta get that
cub done too.

Yes it is hard to get rolling, but the condition on me getting the 450R was that I'd be selling the LT250s.
So the incentive is there to get it done.
