Attention 98 Grizzly owners
#1
IF you are tired of the trailor hitch, on your Griz, hanging up when you are backing up. Or need more ground clearence. And need to lift it . Here is the plan I just now installed on my Griz. Simply I hacksawed 2 small wedges right in the middle of the trailor hitch. Then jacked up the Griz by jacking it from underneath the hitch. As the weight of the Griz pushes down the hitch the hitch will bend upward closing the wedge you cut. Then let the Griz down and make sure the wedges are both closed. All then, that is left is to get someone to tack the closed wedge, and you are all set. This procedure easily gave me a couple more inches of ground clearence on the back and took about 45 minutes(doing it right and perfect). I will have pictures of my hitch shortly.
