96 warrior help with spark
ok i have tested everything the stator, pick up coil, source coil, and ciol pack. i have a weak spark that seams to spark too much. like 4 or so times each motor rotation.
so i thought it was the cdi. i bought a new one from rmstator.
i hook it up and it has no spark at all. went back to the old one and the same thing weak spark too often. i checked the wires every thing looks good so i put new cdi back on and still no spark.
any ideas? thanks in advance
sorry if i spelled any thing wrong my grammer is bad.

well after more testing i think the stator has gon bad. but not all a once
i was getting 330omes and 33vac from it. well i tested my 1990 moto4 the same way it to was 330omes but 70vac. so i ran a wire from the moto4 to the warrior and started them both the warrior started right up.
so i tested the omes again and got 430!! has anyone seen a stator go out slowley like this?

yeah i had a mid 80s 3 wheeler that did that it was the source coil not putting out enough voltage to charge the capacitor in the cdi unit it ohm'd out fine but not enough voltage to make it spark correctly. A good rule of thumb is anything with 100 DVA (digital volt adapter) volts or higher going to the ignition coil should spark fine.
