Greetings all.
I have an '86 YTM 225DRS with the CDI unit non functional.
The markings on it are: 1EV-85540-20-00
Electrically everything else in the electrical system checks out as within specs.
I'm having a hard time finding these for a "decent" price from vendors and I've found none on the Tri-motos I've come across for parts.

I'm finding CDI units from '84 - '85 Tri-motos. Some of the '85 models even have the same mounting scheme for the CDI that the '86 models have (with the mounting brackets to secure the unit on the battery box).
These units have the markings of: 1EV-20

My request is to know if these two CDI units are interchangable for use on my '86 model? Will the 1EV-20-xx unit from the '85 tri-moto function properly on my '86 model or should I keep looking for the 1EV-85540 unit?
