The 450 class machines all have the best suspension. That's the class that you see racing either on the track or in the woods. The Honda 450R, Suzuki 450 and Can-am 450 all would be good choices as well. If you buy one, try to get one as stock as possible. Modified engines will definitely make more power but they will never be as reliable as a stock engine. Especially if the machine was used for racing, its definitely been abused more than one just used for trail riding. The Honda 700xx would be another alternative to the Raptor 700 as well. A lot of people liked the Can-am ds650, which is also similar in size to the Raptor. The 700 machines are definitely bigger and heavier as LT80 said. I wouldn't say they're slugs but for really aggressive fast riding the 450 machines are better suited. A bit lower center of gravity on the 450 machines. At 6'5", they might be a little cramped though. I'm about 6 inches shorter than you and that's how I feel on a 250 class machine like a 250ex. A machine like that is just too small for me. Best way to find out what you like is to ride a few different machines and pick out the one you like best. Opinions and stats are helpful to narrow down your choices but ultimately to use Can-am's catch phrase, "Its the ride that counts."
