I have lived in the country all my life so I have been riding since i was litte around 7 i guess.I didn't get an ATV of my own until I was 18 though. My folks thought 3 wheelers where tounsafe. At least they bought me dirt bikes, at 18 I went to the Honda shop and brought home brand new 1986 350x. It was a monster in its day and the only time it ever hurt me i did something stupid to cause it. From there I had a Warrior for awhile, I put a pipe , pro flow K&N , cam and works steelerson it. I couldn't hang with my buddies on their old 250 R's so the Warrior got sold in favor of a clean 87 Honda 250r. I still got the r but I don't ride it much anymore. The riding buddies allsorta went seperate ways. We had a club for a few years, with our own drag lights that we had built from Race America. I have slowed up a little besides the R , I bought a new 450s Foreman but ended up tradingfor a Rubicon. I really like the Ruby , its a work horse but you can trail ride at a fun pace also. My favorite place to ride is the Badlands in Attica IN. , I also enjoy Finger Lakes in Columbia MO. I live in Illinois and it's a very anti ATV state, there is huge state park near me that let's horses and sleds in but no ATV's . There are tons of fire breaks that we are not supposed to ride. They could generate alot of revenue by letting us ride but they are to narrowminded. Check back once in a while i will rotate photos in and out. Since the page was started things have changed ... the 250r was sold , hopefully to someone who will treat it with as much TLC as i did. Selling the " R " almost caused a one of those midlife crisis things so I ran to the Honda shop and put the money down on a shiny new 400 ex . Also I attened a meeting of concerned Illinois riders that are trying to organize the way the Wisconsin riders have. Randy Harden and Rob McConnell of the Wisconsin WATVA ran the meeting and put on a really good presentation . Anybody from Ill. reading this .... we need to get organized ! and get the state to open up public access. If you want to get onboard and try to help please go to www.nohvis.org , then click on state associations , then Illinois. Contributions are needed to get this off the ground , ( I hope I didn't just break a forum rule . ) Its a non profit organization, Im ok .... right moderators . I am a still a little stoked up , I just returned from the meeting .
