Ask The Editors: Need Rims for Older Rigs
You want rims? We’ll show you rims.

Dear ATVC: I have 2 somewhat older toys that I’m having a hard time finding rims for. Rocky Mountain ATV is my normal go-to, but they have failed me for my two older quads. I’m trying to find rims for my son’s 2005 Kawasaki KFX80 (LT80 clone) and for my 2006 Yamaha Blaster 200.

I can find old bent stockers on e-bay, but I’d really like to buy some aftermarket rims like Douglas. Rear wheels is where I seem to be finding the most trouble.

For the Blaster 200, I really only need new rears.

For the KFX 80, I also only really need new rears, but I sort of want to upgrade all of them since it’s running stockers now.

As far as your Blaster is concerned, sky is truly the limit in the aftermarket rim department. The machine boasted an immensely long production run and remained relatively unchanged throughout most of it, meaning the aftermarket had many, many years to come up with all sorts of goodies.

We’d recommend starting here for examples of some of the gorgeous rims and their prices available to you for the Blaster (or its official designation, the YFS200.

The KFX80 doesn’t enjoy quite the variety the Blaster boasts but you mentioned Douglas Wheel who absolutely did not overlook the little 80. This link will take you to their Blue Label offering on Amazon but searching 3/120 Douglas .125 Wheel 8X5 3.0 + 2.0 for Kawasaki KFX 80 2003-2006 will bring up a whole host of retailers who yet stock the rim.
