600cc 2-Stroke Engine You Can Buy
It’s been a minute since we’ve seen a brand new factory 2-stroke.

For most of us, the days of the 2-stroke equipped ATV have waved goodbye long ago. Yamaha’s legendary Banshee 350 ceased US distribution back in 2006 and the last production 2-sroke available, the Spanish made GasGas Wild HP 300, suffered a similar fate in 2008.

That means for most of us premix junkies, the only choices are going well-used or building a custom from the ground up. That’s what makes the following announcement so exciting. Panthera, a Canadian engine manufacturer, is about to unleash a brand new 600cc 2-stroke!
Panthera Motors
If this doesn’t seem like a big deal to you, consider this. To date the most ruckus ATV ever produced was Suzuki’s Quadzilla LT500R – and this new mill adds another 100cc to that.

The trouble with big bore 2-strokes is that things can get vibration-heavy in a hurry and Panthera knows it. That’s why their new 600 will come equipped counterbalanced to keep the revs nice and smooth.

If that isn’t enough, they’re building each to meet the specifics of your prospective build – meaning if you want to go fuel injected or carbureted, they’ve got you either way. If you want to run a hydraulic clutch or a cable-driven unit, all good. Plus it comes equipped with electric start and backup kickstart.

Whether designing a quad up around the new engine package (don’t forget the aftermarket Honda TRX250R chassis is alive and well) or if you have a machine in need of a fresh motor, this brand new crate engine can be a game charger! We’re looking very forward to the customs to come.
