Rolling down the street.

Dear ATVC: What wheels and tires are these in this photo? I’d be looking to put them on a Raptor 700. They look cool for around the block cruising. Any idea how hard they would be on the bearings up front? Thanks.

These setups are getting harder and harder to find these days. There was a time around 2010 when it was a pretty popular fad thanks in no small part to quad stunters in rap videos and movies like Biker Boyz.

These days you have to search Flat Track TT equipment to find something similar, but again, the pickings aren’t what they used to be.

If memory serves – the hot sizes for the setup in the photo were 10″ wheels: 18×6-10 up front and a rear around 18×10-10.

ATVs on the road always experience increased bearing wear and we would certainly combat this reality by swapping out your bearings with the wheels (have a street only set) and just plan on more frequent replacement. As tires also wear down a lot quicker on pavement than dirt, adjust your maintenance routine to reflect this increased wear.
