Ask the Editors: What to Get With My KingQuad 400
The smallest of Suzuki’s KingQuad line has been around for a while now and has managed to amass a pretty impressive array of accessories, both factory and aftermarket alike.
To offer specific suggestions, the question you have to ask yourself is what you plan to do with the machine mostly. If working is your prime objective, you have some great winch options at your disposal. If snow removal is on the agenda, a winch and plow combination is the move.
If trails are your bread and butter, there are a lot of goodies designed to keep you free of overhanging brush – hand guards, windshield, there are even a series of canvas full enclosures available for the 400. There are also some nice storage solutions, including trunks and fit over the existing racks.
If cold weather exploring is your thing – hand warmers exist in addition to the above mentioned windshield and canopy. And if you like the really deep powder, track kits are available as well.
If mud pits are your scene, lift kits, radiator relocation kits, snorkels and exhaust extenders are all available for the quad. As are more aggressive tires, of course.
In short, as it stands, you’re getting a reliable 4×4 designed to do a bit of everything. If there are specific conditions you wish to master, it serves as a perfect starting point for accessories and modifications as well.
