ATV Industry Facts: Did You Know?
The fast things of Italy have to be able to stop too.

Considered the upper echelon on braking performance the world over (and yes they do make ATV brakes), Brembo announced that it has broken ground on a new manufacturing plant in Curno, Italy. The new building will host Brembo’s new Carbon Factory, a flagship facility for the processing of carbon fiber materials for competition use.
ATV Industry Facts: Did You Know?
The new facility is dedicated to the design, development and production of the company’s competition carbon brake pads and discs. This greenfield operation verticalizes the carbon brake process under one roof. The new facility is an addition to the Brembo operations already existing in Curno where the company already develops and manufactures braking components for racing.

The new plant will occupy an area of approximately 23,000 square feet, in addition to 33,000 square feet for green belt areas, parking, logistics and storage areas planned by the project. Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2018, with production activities expected to be fully operational by the end of 2019.

Bonus Fact: In the Carbon Factory, Brembo will produce semi-finished carbon-carbon discs and pads, different from the carbon-ceramic discs destined for super-performing road cars, produced at Stezzano and in Germany. The new facility’s production will be dedicated to equip the cars andrcycles of teams competing in all the main motor racing disciplines, including Formula One and MotoGP.
