POLARIS RZR Nabs Two Wins at Baja
The RZRs carved some wins.

For the third consecutive year, Polaris RZR Factory Racing is triumphant at the SCORE Baja 500 with two class wins, including the Pro UTV Forced Induction class and an all-RZR podium in the Pro UTV NA class.

After battling through the 483.9-mile course in Baja California, RZR Factory Driver Craig Scanlon secured the victory for the Pro UTV Forced Induction class. Scanlon was awarded first place, following a 10-minute penalty applied to competitor Jason Murray. In what was arguably one of the tightest finishes in Baja 500 history, Scanlon completed the single-loop race in just under 13 hours and 27 minutes.

“I couldn’t be more excited for Craig and Scanlon Motorsports as this win really pays off all of the hard work, commitment and persistence he and his team have put into this sport,” said Kyle Duea, vice president of ORV Marketing at Polaris Industries.

RZR Sponsored Athlete Kaden Wells took the victory in the Pro UTV NA class. With a time of 13 hours and 41 minutes, Wells shaved more than four hours from his 2018 finish. Joining Wells on the podium, and securing the RZR podium sweep, were RZR Factory Driver Kristen Matlock and RZR Sponsored Athlete Adrian Orellana, who finished second and third, respectively.

“The Baja 500 is one of the most challenging races in all of off-road racing, and to see the success from our team of drivers is a huge testament to their preparation, dedication and determination,” said Duea. “Any win is significant, but to win at Baja is always extra special.”

Polaris RZR Factory Racing has secured 19 wins and 40 podiums in the 2019 race series calendar.
