Shoot United Aims to Promote the Positive Side of Shooting
We’re all for spreading the positive side of the sport.

When someone on the street mentions “shooting” or “a shooter”, it’s very rarely in a positive light. A few lunatics can taint the reputation of the many.

Off-roading and the shooting lifestyle often go hand in hand whether it’s for hunting, target or sport/ range activity.
Shoot United Aims to Promote the Positive Side of Shooting
Shoot United, an initiative started by Winchester, hopes to engage newcomers and bring positive awareness to shooting sports.

Target shooting is one of the most popular and fastest-growing high school sports in the United States. More than 60 million adults participate in the shooting sports each year, making it one of the most popular recreation activities in the country.

Facts like these, while surprising to most, solidify the need to encourage, invite and educate, which is the exact
purpose of Shoot United.

Now, more than ever, there has been an increase in participating in outdoor activities, including recreational and competitive shooting. Shoot United, an initiative designed to promote all that’s wholesome and beneficial about the shooting sports, aims to bring more awareness of, and engagement in this community-driven, growing sport. It encompasses personal development skills through responsible practices. It embraces spending time outdoors with family and friends.

It includes healthy competition and growth of the sport. It’s the fastest-growing sport at the high school level. Not to mention, it’s one of the most fun and safe recreational activities out there.
Shoot United Aims to Promote the Positive Side of Shooting
“More people than ever before are participating in target shooting and hunting because these sports are fun and appealing,” said Brett Flaugher, president of Winchester Ammunition. “People need to hear the stories of how these activities have a positive impact on our lives and relationships, which is exactly what Shoot United is here to do. By sharing these stories with an even broader audience and continuing to nurture diverse participation, we all have a chance to help this piece of the outdoor industry thrive.”
