SprocketList Weekly ATV Ad: Sniffing Out Good Deals So You Don’t Have To

By -

Each week we rummage around SprocketList in the hopes of uncovering some spectacular deal on a nice used ATV so as to offer hope to those in need of a new (or new to them) set of wheels for the upcoming season.

This week we happened across an ad that takes us to a place called Melbourne, FL with a listing that finally answers the question, “What happens if you take one of the fastest ATVs in the industry and modify it to the nines.”
SprocketList Weekly ATV Ad: Sniffing Out Good Deals So You Don’t Have To
According to the listing, this is a 2005 Yamaha Raptor 700 that has been bored and stroked to 720cc and boasts a custom ground camshaft, 12:1 Wiseco piston, Falicon Connecting rod and crankshaft. The cylinder head has been fully ported with custom titanium valves, (31mm intake and 32mm exhaust), titanium retainers with heavy duty K-motion valve springs .

The machine also runs a Durablue 2+2 Eliminator rear axle and a custom ordered full (dual) straight pipe exhaust system from Barkers Performance Exhaust. Additional perks include a K&N air filter, Dynatek Programmable Ignition, a pair of front sprockets to change gear ratio, set of paddle tires, and a (installed) brand new battery.

The ad’s poster states that he is the original owner having bought the quad brand new in 05 and began the engine modifications in 08 and finished it in 09. Since the work, the quad has only about 12-hours of run time. Despite such low hours, the owner reports having always changed the oil, cleaned the air filter and greased all the joints before parking it.

Invested about $ 12,000 into the ATV but is asking a very reasonable $3,800/ or best offer. The owner is also considering trades for street bikes, Side by Sides, Flats boats, or jet skis.

He ends the ad saying, “VERY VERY FAST!!!” We believe him!
