After bending the stock 450R bars the second time, (no body is perfect) it was in need of some replacement bars. Now, there are tons of bars available for quads, but after seeing a Trail Tech setup, there was no doubt which one we wanted. The Trail Tech bars we chose were the High bend X-bars which have a 1 1/8” clamping point that tapers to 7/8” to accommodate the stock controls. The billet clamp is also very trick looking and has a 450R logo in the center.

undefined    Installing the bars is pretty straight forward and most anyone with any mechanical knowledge should have no problems with installations. First remove the stock controls, clutch lever, brake lever, lighting controls and throttle lever. Un plug the key switch and the temperature light from the wiring harness, remove the two nuts holding the stock bar clamp and remove the bar assembly. Transfer the key switch and temp light over to the new plastic housing (included) and install the lower bar clamp and new plastic. Set the new X-bend bars in place and lightly tighten the top clamp. Sitting on the quad adjust the bars for you personal liking and tighten the top clamp. Re-install the controls and your ready to roll.

undefinedThe new X-bars and clamp are really nice looking on the 450R. Everyone that has tried it out before and after the bar installation had positive things to say about them. It gives the quad a much better feel over the stock bars and the X-bars are much more durable. We don’t think we will be bending these bars anytime soon. Trail Tech offers much more than just bars for your quad or motorcycle. They also have lights, flywheels, and computers. Coming soon is a trick looking tach setup. Check out their website and look at what all they have to offer. We don’t think you will be disappointed.
