When mud looks like butterscotch pudding, it can be really difficult to accurately gauge the depth ahead of time. More often than not, the bottom drops out and we find ourselves in much deeper than anticipated.

However, once in a great while the opposite is true. We prepare for the worst and are pleasantly…disappointed. Take this guy, for example. Mud tires – check. Lift kit – check. Snorkels – check. Crocs on feet – check. Friend with video camera standing by to capture the event – check. Mud hole – oops.
