The Bombardier (Can-Am) DS 650 is known for many things but deep mudding isn’t generally one of them.

Its water-cooled 653cc Rotax high output engine mated to a manual clutch, 5-speed transmission, rear drive only platform made it one of the earlier performance 4-strokes that would come to dominate race tracks the world over ever since.

Mudding, however, usually means 4×4, crazy ground clearance, CVT belt-driven transmissions and yet here we are – a stock DS 650 absolutely owning the mud pit where the AWDs usually play. Seeing really is believing!
