We have a supermach 700cc Hisun...it backfires through carb and surges when a load is put on it like going up a hill. It runs fine on the flat.
I've tried to adjust the air mixture jet but doesn't seem to make a difference.
Help me solve my problem...What do you suggest?
It is a 2009. And shows less than 100 miles on it.
There doesn't seem to be any air leaks.

the vent on the top of the gearbox does not go to anything, it is just a long tube that vents to the outside.

Don't know what kind of bike you have but generally, the only reason I can think of to change the jets from stock is if you have modified the air movement through the machine. i.e., open exhaust or removed the stock air filter and installed a pod type filter. In either case you will have given the machine more air and you might need to go up one or two numbers on the main jet. Otherwise it will like run too lean and you eventually get a nice hole burned in the top of the piston. Jetting is a black art but doable on your own with a little research. If you haven't changed the exhaust and/or air filter the answer is no; new jets or larger jets not needed or recommended.
All the four strokes I get I drain and replace the oil with 20W50 Royal Purple, a synthetic oil available at Walmart or any parts store. Folks have different opinions and if you have any doubts following the manual never really hurts.
As far as oil screens go I usually clean them with some carb cleaner and fiber brush. I'm sure there's other stuff but so far that gets the job done for me. Just know what kind of material the screen is made from and don't use something that might eat it up. I say that because I don't know what the Chinese are liable to use for material as they tend to make stuff as cheap as possible.

Since I had that little Meerkat carb out for the photo's earlier I decided to go ahead and clean it. Here it is all put back together. The screw laying there was in the kit I ordered and I did not like the fit of the thing. It stuck way out of the body so, I used the original idle adjustment screw. Wish I had taken some shots of this thing when I first got it, it was a real mess coated inside and out with who knows what.

Grab the part with the ridges at the top and unscrew it (may need pliers). Careful it is spring loaded though nothing should fly out if you have the throttle cable attached it doesn't mean something wont. If you don't have the throttle cable attached it can spring apart suddenly and not give you a chance to see the proper order to reassemble it.

I appreciated your response. That did work, but it was put on there way too tight or either had some Loctite on it. It is a sealed bubble carb, so I cannot open it to work on the 3 needles and floats, so what do I do? Is there a way to beat the pins out and tap and dye them, I tried that, but maybe not hard enough, or is it easier to buy a new one, which seem to be cheap. Again, this is a TAOTAO AXA125D or AXA 135D Either one is fine because the only difference is the size of tires from 16" to 18". The model from the distributor is AX135ATV-D. If you would say buy a new one, what is the best website. Thank you, and I truly look forward to your responses and help. I need help with a trail rover later, but I have to do this one first.

I will try that, but I wonder if it is easier to just purchase another one. I would have to drive 2 hours round trip to get to harbor freight. Though, I then think, if I buy the kit, then next time I would have the tools. I contacted the company that makes them and they said, we do not sell sealed ones, but we only sell aftermarket, though they are the ones that make the ATV. It is frustrating that there is a 2, 4 and no bolt bowl. If you happen to find anything else on this which is a taotao AXA125-D 135 model, which is also sold as AX135ATV-D
Anything in mm measurements in bolts would be greatly appreciated. What tool do I use to measure mm, I can do cm or inches, how do I convert either to mm. Thank you.

measure in cm and ad a zero to get mm. 1cm = 10mm so 0.4 cm = 4mm. But you need to buy the m4 bolt he described to get the threads to match. The tool should be sold at any home center or most auto part stores have them. Just ask if they sell ease-outs. If you pay $20 local as opposed to $10 on a 2 hour trip. You would have spent the extra $10 on gas anyway. Well, unless you drive a Prius (it would still cost $7-8). Plus you just saved 2 hours.
A m4x 0.75cm or m4x1cm bolt should be easy to find as well since any auto part store or home center worth visiting should have them.
