kazuma adult falcon 250
#1
i bought one of these for my son. neat bike, big, plush suspension, easy to steer. engine starts, idels& runs very well, however it has absolutely no bottom end power. even my wifes dingo 150 will spin the tires forever even w/my 220lbs on it. i removed the airbox and clamped on a k&n filter. but to no avail. i cannot find a mixture screw on the carburator annywhere that looks like what you find on the 150 or the110. the only screw that even remotely looks like it could be the one is located on the very bottom of the carb, between the float bowl & the rubber intake manifold. i read a thread last week about adjusting the valves & replaceing some cam bolts, but i cant seem to find it now. any experiance w/ this bike ? im thinking the dingo 250 might be the sane drivetrane but im not sure.

took the carb off last night. the screw on the bottom of the carb is the mixture screw. it is the only screw on the outside of the carb. but am still wondering about the replacement cam screws. im sure i can get the valves adjusted, its perty straight foward. need to replace the intake manifold,as i put a k&n filter on the carb and like an idiot i did not support it and it tore in half. also the battery box that is molded into the rear plastic cracked all to sh t, so i took some 1" angliron and welded together a new batt. box to the frame, it is mutch better than the oem spot. if anyone knows about those screws please fill me in. seadawg, i adjusted the valves, and the carb mixture screw. ive replaced the air filter box w/a k&n. it did help a bunch. however it still does not perform to what i belive its potential is. i followed the manufactures instructions for adjusting the valves. that seemed to help a bit. i ended up liftng the rear of the quad, and ajusting the valves while the engine ran. it took some time to get the valves and mixture correct but it was worth it. i stll need to replace the cam bearing cap bolts as per manufacturers bulitin. i dont see how this will help performance, but i havent removed the valve cover yet. i am still playin around with adjustments, and im sure that eventually ill get the results needed. i wll keep posting info as i experiance it. and i also follow the adult falcon thread. joe.

Tried all the things suggested on this tread, but still the atv wasn't going as it should. I then disassembled the carburettor again, the floater wasn't adjusted correct, it is wary important that the floater is parallel with the edge of the carburettor (Water level) and not turning up ore down with one end when you turn the carburettor upside down.
