Does a 50cc Need Registration.
So my brother found out I was getting into quads with the kids and said I could have his Baja 50cc atv. I had no problem registering my 200cc Jetmoto that I purchased from someone who had paperwork. The problem is that my brother said he bought his in Las Vegas at a PepBoys and they never gave him any paperwork. I checked online its a bit confusing but some of the sites seem to say that a 50cc or smaller atv does not need registration or orv tags. I am in Washington State, does anyone know if this is true?

you may have a 2007 or older model, before 2007 they did not have serials, date of manufacture. That is why you if you have not noticed a drastic change in quality and reliability with the china quads. in 2007 a huge investigation of their quads was performed and the Chinese were told comply with the standards or keep them in your country.
50 cc engines are not considered a viable means of transport and do not require registration, from what i gathered on a read from another site. the only requirement was an orange flag on a 8 foot pole and a spark arrest for the exhaust pipe.which if it is 2007 and prior model it may not have.which is nothing more than some metal screening.
