My quad has a VIN number stamped on the frame, right side in the front. It is easy to miss if your looking for placards, or labels. It is even more difficult if the quad has been painted or covered with mud. But it should be there.
If you do find the VIN number, many people have had good success with this web site for tracing VIN numbers to year, make, and model:
ATV VIN decoder - Check your ATV to see what it is, if it is stolen, or salvaged
I entered my VIN number and didn't get much more than it was made in China in 2007. Maybe you'll do better.
