picked up a basket case 110 daymack that has no spark, disected the harness bought all new components,cdi,rectifier,coil,bat,found some cut wires in the harness....fixed that,still no spark..the ignition when the key is on gives power to the frame? does that meen it is bad?

 

Unplug the cdi kill wire and see if it fires

 

tried that.at the point where i cut out (removed completely from the harness),all lights,and safety switches and now on the hunt for a basic diagram of a 5 point cdi,harness . just going to use key,starter, that's it,but labeling is prooving to be a little tricky...

 

on the cdi the blue/white goes to stator, green is ground, black/yellow to ignition coil, black/red to magneto and that leaves white/black that is your kill. just unplug it and it will disable all kills that cut off cdi
