When I press the starter nothing happens only a clicking sound. I checked the battery and the voltage and fluid levels are good.
I tried to short across the solenoid to start is and nothing only that mind numbing click. I thought I was good with engines but now I feel like a fool I know it is something easy but for the life of me I don't know what. Any help would be great.

 

Sounds to me like the starter is dead.
