Default Kymco and Q Link ATVs

Hey everybody,

I noticed the Chinese ATVs out there now; I was surprised, but then again my last toy was a Honda ATC200X in '84.
Wanted to get y'all's opinions on the Kymco and Q Link ATVs; How reliable are they? Or is it better to spend the extra funds on a Japanese ATV?
How are their versions of the CVT and of the autoclutch/manual shift?
Thanks for any input,
I'm trying to learn as much as I can; before I make a decision.
I plan on getting an ATV within a year.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks CVT11! I appreciate any input.
I was just curious about the new names in the ATV industry.
Is Kymco Chinese, or Korean?

The Kymcos are made in Taiwan and are superior to anything made in China...There are some decent brands from China but all will require mechanical skills and time...and the occasional pita hunt for parts..

The CVT on my Jetmoto and Yamoto 150 have always worked very well and those 2 machines are the favorite of the rookie riders..The 150's with the CVT are almost unstoppable....not going to be going real fast, but pull very strong..

The auto clutch versions work well also....as a whole the engine isnt what will cause you problems... Engines from China have surprisingly been very reliable... once again getting parts is sometimes the pain..

Depending on what size you buy, you may be getting a Kymco and not know it. Arctic Cat DVX250 is really a rebadged Kymco.

Actually starting to see a few dealers around here that are putting them out on the sales floor next to the name brand quads.

G4s, open the carb fuel bowl and check the pilot jet. It is the smaller jet and it plugs very easily.

You will need to remove the carb, take apart the fuel bowl, remove the jets, blow carb cleaner through all ports and orifices both ways, check O-ring seal at rear of carb and check intake manifold gaskets. If you can get the jets clean, and you have no problems with fuel supply(change filter) you should have a smooth running quad.

If you do this and it still runs rough you may need to make further adjustments. There are 2 screws on the carb, at idle turn the screw with the spring to the right until the idle speeds up to a reasonable speed but not racing. Then check the plug after a few minutes to see if it is lean(dry/whitish) or rich(wet/carbon loaded). The other small screw will help control the lean/rich air/fuel ratio.

i cleaned it.still runs bad.runs only with choke closed and coughs back in to carb.
maybe out of time?
or could the intake valve be not closing?
