Default 200cc yamoto piston question and where to get gaskets!

Alright so i have a yamoto 200cc water cooled 5spd, clutch , electric only start...

edit: If the pistons are fine, will any 200cc honda gasket kits fit this motor?
if not... am i able to use a make your own gasket kit? Will that work?
Thanks

I ran into problems with it and it was getting no power and barley running cleaned the carb twice and nothing, had someone more knowledgeable look at it and they said they thought piston rings

so today i ripped the whole motor out and found alot of gunk/shavings in the head as well as on the top of the piston. which i figure could have caused it to bog down? the bike would start and idle rough when giving it gas it would smoke a bit and have no power

the pistons seem to look in good shape + rings no burning
( also .. are the rings suposed to be right into the piston or loose the top 2 piston rings move freely around and are wider then the piston )

My question is.. how can i tell if the rings/piston is fried basically

IMO the piston is fine.. ring's i can't tell

also: I am in canada, and it's hard to find parts besides ebay any recommendation?

I can get pics of the bike/piston upon request the motor is out atm!

any help would be appreciated!

You need to check the end gap of the rings... To do that you take the rings off the piston... place them in the cylinder 1 at a time... use the piston to get it in straight.. then get a feeler gauge and measure the gap where the ring comes together... should be about .010 - .015.

No idea on using Honda parts on your 250...

Pics of the piston and engine wouldnt hurt..

Will have pics up shortly!
it's a 200cc not 250 though! I was just told some other bikes parts may fit.. espically if it's something like ring's which would just have to be the right size? I plan on taking the piston into a shop and head i will need a new gasket ( unless i can use a make your own gasket kit? ) im hoping it's the rings piston looks fine otherwise

^ Piston. ( the top ring is noticible larger then the bottom one i put the gaps side by side and you can see the top has a larger gap also if this helps)

question : what is the chrome looking screw int he picture below for?
when you turn it it opens a valve inside of the motor?

also: The gasket beside the head looks good, but i want to know if i can use do it yourself gasket for this

on the left, there are peices of the old gasket stuck i need to get off.. i've tried a flathead but doesn't work too well and i don't want to scrape a chunk of metal off!

engine: Liquid cooled 200cc, 5psd electric start only.

The piston looks ok... the rings look ok but you need to remove them from the piston. Place 1 in the cylinder and then check the gap with a feeler gauge..

You can use a single edge razor blade to remove gasket flash.

I would reuse the old gasket if you cant find a new one. You could use a bit of do it yourself gasket with the gasket.. it would never seal the water and combustion alone.

It looks like a 200cc push rod engine so Id think there are parts available..

The gasket is question is completely destroyed, in pieces

the pushrod that goes in the bottom left hole in this picture had some wear + metal shaving's around it i since cleaned but you can see the wear.

Where would i be able to get parts? ebay seems to have gasket kit's and ring kit's anyways but im sure i can get rings @ a part store locally if it's the rings!

If not, what else would cause the motor to bog like it was? like no power at all enough to idle and smoking a bit when given throttle

Try looking here, I used them for my kids 50cc parts. I took a quick look they list some yamotto parts scroll down and look at the left side of the page it has specific manufacturers listed.
HighRpmRacer&#39s Official Website - 110cc Dirt Bike - Loncin Engine Parts - Chinese ATV Parts and Scooter Parts at competitive prices.

p.s. the parts ship from the USA so it doesn't take long
