Hey guys, we just bought a 110cc quad for my son. I put everything together and charged the battery for over 24 hrs and there is not enough power to light the lights up. Also, I have two wires coming from parking brake? on the right side of bars by throttle control (green with yellow stripe and black) that have nothing to connect to that I can see. Underneath there are several plugs that have no mate that I can see. Any thoughts? Thanks

 

1) Is this a new quad, or a used one? Since you said you "put everything together" I'm assuming it is new, but I just wanted to double check.

2) What brand quad? Engine size?

3) Where did your get it from?

4) What kind of charger did you use to charge the battery?

5) If you take a pair of jumper cables and jump the quad to your car, do the lights work then? Does the starter turn? Does it start?

6) Use a meter to measure the DC battery voltage right on the battery terminals. What does it measure with the ignition switch off? What does it measure with the ignition switch on and the headlights turned on?

This is a start.

I wouldn't worry about any other disconnected wires just yet. Maybe those wire are important, or maybe not. Get the battery to the point where it can turn the starter motor, then worry about other stuff after the starter motor is turning.
