i just bought my kids a yamoto 50cc 4 wheeler. it's been sitting up for several months according to the guy i bought it from but has had maybe one full tank of gas run through it since it was bought new 3 years ago. it runs fine most of the time but it won't start unless i take the breather filter off & spray carb cleaner in it. what could the problem be? also, every now & then it will start to run a little rough. it will idle fine but when you give it gas it bogs down & wants to die. it will eventually start to run right again but it's a little annoying. any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Clean the carb thouroughly. Sounds like there is dirt in the carb.

 

it was actually something really simple. the choke lever on the handle wasn't fully engaging the choke. it actually was barely choking it at all. fixed that and it starts & runs great now.
