So Craigslist is just a goldmine for Chinese ATVs!
Today I am picking up a beautiful 150cc bike for just $350!
I talked to the guy and he said it will start and idle but will not run.
Yup, a new carb/intake(30mm upgrade) will be first on the list, plus a CDI/coil/plug/uni-filter!
I will post pics later tonight, then over the next 2 weekends go through the whole bike and lube/tighten/fix everything I find!
There are many non-mechanics that own these bikes and don't understand anything about them and put them up for sale super cheap! I am thinking about buying and fixing these bikes and then reselling them locally. I am also considering running ads for fixing them. Most of the 150cc run GY6 engines(super easy to work on) and the smaller bikes run 90cc-125cc Lifan motors or something similar.(also easy to work on) Other aspects of the bikes like suspension/frame/brakes/electrical, are also pretty easy to work on!
Valve adjustments and clutch work is about the most involved part of the repairs and even that is pretty easy.
I am also picking up a new 3/8" electric impact today! These small impact wrenches are great for these bikes!
One thing for sure around the St.Louis area is no bike shop will touch these chinese quads! They don't want the grief they get from the Japanese factory reps about these cheap bikes being sold instead of their bikes. They are missing out on a huge market!

I live in CL!! I have bought all my chinese quad toys on there:
150cc quad ($180)
110cc quad ($200)
90cc quad ($100)
90cc quad ($260) <---suckered into that one pricewise (1st quad didn't know any better)
97cc Mini Bike ($100)
They are great and cheap to work on!! I just beat them up on the trails and hills and they last a long time if you maintain them.
