Default BIG Chinese ATVs

Seems like almost all of the talk here is about the small (250cc and below) Chinese ATVs. Does anybody have much experience with the bigger machines? I can't really find much info on them at all. On Vbikes website they have 400-700cc 4x4 machines that are shaft drive, liquid cooled, IRS, disk brakes all around, Hi & Lo range tranys and all the rest of the stuff you find on the hi end four wheelers from the big boys. The are not giving them away but the prices are around 1/2 what you would pay for a machine with similar specs that was assembled in Japan or the US.

My brother works for a magazine that I will not name and he is pretty sure he is going to get a CF Moto to review here in the next month or so.
I just gave the site a quick look and they have a 500-600cc model, they can also be purchased as a 2 up version.

I will spout off a little once we take it out and put a 100 miles on it.

JMO, but the chinese ones seem to have a place as far as a kids beginner quad. They don't have the proven durability of the big name makers, and parts are harder to come by. So for something that may just be a fad for the kids, or a test to see how well they like it, they may be worth it.

But as far as an adult toy, you'd be better off buying a brand name that is proven to hold up to the punishment we'd be likely to subject them to. And if it's not your cup of tea, you can recoup the majority of the money invested.

And there was a person posting their experience with V Bikes here last week.

They didn't seem to be standing behind there 250cc product, so I wouldn't expect much from them on any product they were selling. Maybe they've stepped up to the plate since then, but from what I read, it's another company I'd avoid.

Added a link to thread I am referencing.

I agree with you 100% and I have said in prior posts for my money it is worth the extra couple of grand or 30-40 dollars a month to go with a name brand.
That said people are buying these units or they wouldnt be making them....

I am going out with my brother and going into this with a cross your fingers attitude. I would not be suprised if I had to tow him home.

That said I am going to get a free look at something that I would have never considered or for that matter ever had the chance to ride. Since I am not being paid and have not ties to the mag I just offered to share my opinion cause someone asked. Believe me I am not a spokes person for anyone or anything.

As for my opinion I am being told by my bro that we will have the unit for one weekend. (ukn date at post time)
Saturday we will take it out and get some pix and do a light trail ride then Sunday I am going to take him out with my buddies and pound it.
That said 75-100 miles will not tell the tale of the tape as far as reliablity but I will know how it rides and handles plus get a general feel for the machine.
I would say buyer beware since service / parts / warrinty can be an issue.

The Kazuma Jaguar 500 is JUNK, looks nice but not durible and can't get parts easily. The Linhai 300 nice machine and runs OK but just don't beat on it to hard.

I had a SunL 400cc 4x4. It was ok for just messing around, but when it was time to do some real riding, it would die if you hauled *** through water and last time I rode it hard, the speedo and odometer stopped working. Then they started working again a few weeks later. It was nice looking (similar to a Kawasaki). It already had a winch mounted, camo color, push button 4wd also. It would start every time, but I got tired of it dying in water and stuff while all of my friends had no problems with their Polaris's. Father-in-law sold them (his own business) along with golf carts, so that is why I got one, about $2800 his cost. I sold it and bought a 05 sportsman 400 4x4 and am way happier.
