Thanks for sharing, LT80. Taiwan was scaring me becuase I know how their tools are... cheap cheap metal. A guy that does crank rebuilding won't use HotRods because they're made in Taiwan.

A friend of mine has a kazuma 150. It does ok except the wheels are a bit small and the steering stem steers the wheels too quickly, making the drive "squirrelly".

TralBlazer 250 is the quickest 250 with a CVT, thats because its a 2 stroke last made in 2006(Yellow). The newer Trail Blazers are 330 4stroke (red one).

Well.. without wanting to spam but as an unbiased representative (yeah right) I would like to have a peak at a Qlink Rodeo 500cc. This unit has been around for 5 years and the quality has definately been on the rise as the product has matured of the past couple years. There are several distributors for these units and you can find the write up if you google it online.

This is a nice beginner quad with a CVT transmission and obviously warranteed since it's new. Make sure that if you pick a brand you do some online research about parts availabillity. You can find this quad from different distributors but it pays off in the long run making sure you have A) a dealer close by and B) find a distributor that has the parts to fix them.

I would not recommend ANY 500cc quad to anyone as a beginner.

Engine Type 4-Stroke, Single Cylinder, Liquid Cooled Bore x Stroke 84.5mm x 84mm Compression Ratio 9.4:1 Carburetion PD33J-A Displacement 471 cc Driveline Shaft Drive 2WD/4WD with pushbutton Horse Power 22.8 HP Starter Electronic Ignition Transmission Automatic CVT with L-H-N-R-P

I think for an adult it'll be allright.. lol. It's not a monster in regards to horse power and it is child like simple to operate.

Simple to operate doesn't mean a 12 year old or someone who has never ridden before would hold up well when it rolls on top of them. Guessing it's not a light machine.

On the other hand, 500cc and only 22.8hp?

I wouldn't recommend a 12 year old riding it. But the horsepower is not setting the world on fire but it's an able machine. But I certainly would not put a 12 year old on it.. lol.

What does it weigh? I don't want anything over 350lbs

This is why I don't want something too big and powerful YouTube - Wreckless news reporter
