Recommend a quad for me
I need a "guest quad". A quad for people that have never really ridden an atv before and, particularly, don't know how to shift gears. I've been using my 250ex, which everyone loves, but I'm afraid the clutch just can't take it anymore. It would be great to have a 250ex with a cvt tranny, but outside of the chinese quad realm, quads like that just aren't offered. Don't want a 600lb, 50hp, 4x4 for someone with little experience. Just something in the 250cc class, around 350lbs, decent suspension (or at least have some adjustment to it), and wide enough to be fairly stable. What would you guys recommend? Thanks

No I haven't... How does that work? If it still requires a person to decide when to shift, that wouldn't help. Right now I'm picturing my cousin (280lb) sitting on a 20-30 degree incline in 5th gear wondering why it won't go lol. It seems everyone can understand the need to shift gears to go faster, its downshifting that eludes them.

my sister has the recon trx250 with the electric shift which i really hate...i think its stupid...everyone likes the sporty looking quad...the one with real gears you shift with your foot instead of your finger...i have an hmf exhaust on it so they think they have a race quad and think they are going so fast but dont even know...plus the electric shifting has problems like...the responsiveness isnt very good and it wont allow you to upshift or downshift sometimes...the trx250ex id have to say is the best quad for a beginner or just a toy
