is the start button on the handlebar suppose to work. i can only start it with ehe remote starter

 

The start button on your quad has a safety interlock that requires the brakes to be applied before the start button will work. Thus you need to turn on the ignition, press the brakes (look at the brake light - it must be lit up), then press the start button.

If that sequence doesn't work then we will need to use a meter to figure out where the bad part or connection is.
