Default '08 Panther RX4 110 Battery

Santa brought my daughter an RX4 for Christmas. We have had a cold snap and the battery will not hold any load. It is dropping to 6 volts when I try to start it. What is the best battery for these things. I want more than 35 CCA that the stock batteries give. I am not above making some modifications to make one fit, but wanted to see if anyone has crossed this bridge before and had any ideas. I was thinking maybe a battery out of a F350 power stroke diesel or something like that. Any input is appreciated.

After more fidgeting, the starter wont even turn over with my jumper attached so I think the problem is in the starter. In addition to my previous questions, has anyone ever wrapped the starter in exhaust wrap to try to keep it cooler and make it last longer. I think the starters are a regular problem on these bikes from what I have seen. Any other secrets out there?

Also,is there any pull starts that you can put on these?

Got the starter off. It is real hard to spin the bendix with your hand, alot harder than a car starter. But when i jump it out, it spins fine. Is this characteristic of these starters?
