Welcome to the forums.

Basic, but have to ask. You have checked the plug and plug wire to see if they're good?

The kill switch assembly should be available.

please test the wiring on the kill switch. that is sometimes the culprit for "no fire". i presume, even though you didn't say, it turns over/cranks but just doesn't fire the spark plug. after checking the kill switch, i think you might need to make sure the brake light works. it may also be a safety feature in which the circuit may have to be completed in order to fire. also, if equipped, check the fuse coming off of the battery if applicable. don't know kazumas that well, sorry. but let us know.........i also presume it's getting fuel?

These kazumas are very touchy with the valves make sure that the valves are adjusted. also if you cut the black wire on the cdi this will bypass all of the kill switches if you cut this wire and it starts than you know that it a switch

Do you have spark? Remove the spark plug, wire it back up, and hold the threads against the engine. Crank the engine (all kill switches in the "run" position). Do you see spark across the gap?

That's a real important piece of info. If you did have spark I would lean towards woodsidewarrior's thinking about valve adjustment (or perhaps fuel issues). Since you don't have spark then Jaster94's kill switch issues are a very likely cause.

Do you know what kind of quad? I know its a kazuma, but is it 90cc, 100cc, 150cc, etc? Four stroke? Two stroke?

Compare the following three CDI's to your quad. Which one most resembles your CDI?

Once we find which CDI you have then you'll need a meter. If you don't have one then buy one. They are really cheap these days. $20 will get you a really nice meter. Harbor Freight sells them as low as $2.99.

The CDI generates spark by driving the ignition coil prmary with a narrow but intense voltage spike. For the CDI to do this it needs to have power (sometimes 12 volts DC on newer quads, but on most quads it is moderately high voltage AC from the stator), it needs to have a trigger signal to tell it when to produce that intense voltage spike, and it need to not be killed by external kill switches that run all over the place.

So the idea is to measure these things using a meter. We'll check to see if the CDI spark generation is being killed from the kill switch input pin. We'll check to see if there is power to the CDI. We'll check to see if a trigger signal. Finally we'll check to see if there is any thing being sent to the ignition coil from the CDI.

But first I need to know what CDI you have so we can tailor the procedure for your specific quad.
