Alright, my first post, and guess what it's about???

First off, I'd like to say HEY! I'm the FNG.
I'm not new to powersports, I have/had a Goldwing, Warrior, Kawi Prairie, KDX 200, Maurauder, Honda XL600r, GS750e, AND 2 little chinese bastards that are currently owning me.
Long story short, I bought these USED, last night. I drove BOTH of them. I watched the owners start them QUICK. They are both Tao Tao's (one is for sure, not positive) Both are 110cc.
Weather today has been 50deg. or less.
On the one that is positively a Tao Tao, I rode it earlier today, and shut it down. I went to start it up, and not a damn thing. It will try and fire(ignite but won't always stay running) it has good spark. Sometimes it will idle for a minute or less.
I know for a fact it's a fuel issue. I can see gas "vapor" coming out the tailpipe. I have a feeling it's the crappy choke lever on the carb. I'm not sure what I need to do here.(yes I've read the sticky, and done the halfway thing). My thought is, I'm flooding it accidentally.
The other, well...I know for sure I'm getting fuel, I can smell it in the exhaust, I pulled the plug, and it's wet. The spark is intermittent and IMO weak. Sometimes it hits hard, other times, it seems weak. My thought was the coil. I put new spades on, and no dice. This thing isn't even trying to fire. I rode it last night, as I started it, the P.O. said to give it a little gas, but, I'm guessing that was on a warm motor.
So, both bikes seem to be suffering from operator error. I think they are both flooding out, and I'm pretty sure that shitty choke lever is my problem.
Not sure what the hell I'm doing wrong, but these little bastards have ruined my day(as well as my super excited kids)

Actually, as of today, I have BOTH bikes going(and running like raped apes).
On the "sport" model, it was a matter of figuring out the choke "method".
On the "Utility" model(the weak spark bike), I called the guy I bought it from. He had me bring it back(mind you, it was USED). I took it down there, and the little bastard fired right off. Again, it was a choke "method". Now that I know, it fires every time.
My kids have been on these quads for 4 hours straight. The upside is, I have about 2 acres less to mow.
