hi all ive got a kazuma meerkat for my son and it was ruing perfect but no its got warmer dont seem to run right. When you rev it then release the throttle it stays at high revs for abit then nomater how i turn the idle screw it wont idle all ive done is fit a brand new spark plug. Would fiting a new cdi help or just take the carb off and give it a good clean out..

 

man, i'm thinking the quad has an air leak OR, the slide in the carb is sticking, check the spring inside on the slide, it may be stuck or broken. also, once you have the slide apart, stroke the throttle and check the cable function. you may have grit inside making the throttle cable hang up.

 

checked all this mate did have an air leak as air filter hose had a rip in it so ordered a new one but ngot it idlein now but when you open the throttle all the way it gets half way up the rev range then seems to stop but its not at its full revs
