We bought an ATA110-B model ATV for our 6 yr old daughter. We took it out in the back yard to get her started and noticed everytime she let off the throttle, the engine stalled. I had some people (not proffessionals) look at it and said it was probably just a safety feature. Not real familiar with and was hoping for some advice/guidance.

 

how low is the idle? just guess at RPMs....does it sound like it barely putts or is it fairly smooth at idle? if the idle screw is set too low, then raise the idle up. but if the screw is set out pretty good, you may need to clean the pilot jet in the carb..OR, check the throttle cable, unsure if that one has a throttle control like a polaris..... as far as shutdowns....
