Kazuma 90 Need Help
#1
Hello,
About three years back I bought my daughter a 90 cc Kazuma from a place in Terre Haute Indiana. It is Pink. Well at that time my daughter was 5 and was scared to ride it. Well it sat in the garage until this spring. It needed a battery so I bought one from the Honda Shop. Took it home and installed it. Nothing happened. I tokk the bike to a local small engine guy. He installed a switch and said he cleaned the carb.
Well last night my daughter turned 8 and I surprised her with it. So she rode it slow for a while then it died. Took a while to get it started back up. Rode it a bit more and it did fine as long as she kept the throttle hammered. ( I have the throttle screw turned all the way in to go a bit slower). Then it died again later that night, and we ran the battery down trying to get it started. I am lost as to why a bike that was ridden maybe 20 minutes in three years will not run better than this.
Any ideas? Should I run carb cleaner through it? My daughter was having the best time on this pink atv and I really want her to ride it again without having to be afraid it will die unless she hammers it all the time.
Thanks,
Jared

Hi Jared,
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to give any advise, but I had more or less the same problem with my Kazuma. Have you checked that spark plug? If the quad still has the manufacturer's plug in it (TORCH), then replace is with a NGK. If you can let me know what the code on that TOR4CH plug is, I can tell which NGK plug to use. Give it a try & let me know.
