Eton 50 has good compression, spark and it is getting good spark. I have installed 2 new NGK spark plugs they just get saturated with fuel. Can the timing be adjusted or could there be a valve problem? Thanks Gary

With the new plugs, does it run for a minute or sputter and try to start? Or nothing and they end up just getting soaked from trying to start it? Let us know.....

It didn,t sputter on either plug.

I am not experienced at all with two cycle engines. However my son spent a year and a half at Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando a few years ago. I know very little about reed valves but I did ask him twice if they could be the problem. His answer was "no they are fine". This evening he decided to check out the reed valves again. Very quickly he said "dad I should have listened to you." There was a large chunk of wood jammed in one of them. Running pretty good now. Junior is all smiles. He had all but given up on this one.
