Back on the forums with a new ATV, 4 stroke dual carb question
#1
I took a while off the forums aside from the kids ATVs I had a 99 Suzuki 500cc 4x4 quadrunner which never needed anything so I haven't had to ask any questions lately haha But I ended up selling that ATV and was without one for a while, Now I'm back with an ATV and can't wait to get it on the trails.
Bought a 2006 JetMoto Desert Storm 250cc 2x4 twin cylinder 4-stroke (yes, twin cylinder, It was weird to me too! I don't know why they made this a twin cylinder engine, but they did!
It's very similar to a Honda rebel 250 engine (pictured below).
Anyways, I've taken apart dozens of 2-stroke top slide carbs of all sizes. However, The dual carbs on this are 100% new to me... Can anyone reffer me to a write up with pics on how to take apart/re-assemble a 4-stroke carb like this? (carbs both look similar to the image below) I understand how to clean a carb, My concern is the assembling of it.
Also, How is a carb like this fed fuel, vaccum? ...And how would I adjust idle on dual carbs? I'm very confused, I've never owned a twin cylinder ATV or taken apart a carb like this.... Are the side screw settings still 1 1/2 - 3/4 turns out ?
Thanks,
Mike

Couple pics of the ATV itself... Don't mind the trailer, haha. It came with the ATV and will be getting a basic black rattle can paint job within the next few days when I can get it into the garage to make it a little more presentable.
For the price I paid I think it's a good deal and hopefully after some carb tuning she'll great. Runs right now however idle is sort of all over the place, high revs on it's own one minute and will stall the next... For sure needs a carb clean.
