I kind of agree with Jaster94 when he asks "what is wrong with your quad". Changing a wiring harness is very often filled with pitfalls and incompatibilites even if you manage to find the harness for your model. There isn't good revision control at chinese factories, and things change all the time. Your are likely to get a wiring harness that is incompatible, and therefore presents additional problems to solve - and all the while it may not even solve your original problem . Then you will have multiple problems to deal with.

There are some situations where the wiring harness cannot be salvaged (like a major fire for example), but otherwise I would at least give a go at trying to find the wiring problem and fix it rather than just stabbing at the problem in the dark . To do that we need to know what the problem is.

please explain what you've done, what the quad is doing and not doing. give details in a chronological order. any pertinent details that you can think of. this is vital to troubleshooting your problem(s). it may be something as simple as a loose connection or a hole in the wire jacket. help us help you.

things to consider: if this was your car or truck, would you just scrap the wiring harness and start throwing parts at it? i didn't think so. why would a quad be any different. let's find out the symptoms and go from there.

First off, thanks guys for the reply's. I bought for my son about 6 years ago and it set for about the last 4 years was running when he lost interest. Had a mechanic go through carb and it started right up and ran like a champ, but as mechanic was riding just a few months ago looked down and saw sparks and lil fire. I am not mechanically inclined but my guy said that is what i needed. I just want to get running for my daughter now. Still need help but appreciate all the suggestions.

in order to trace the wiring, strip the plastics off of the quad so it is naked. just the motor, frame, and some peripherals will remain. don't be scared. a 10mm, 12mm, maybe an 8mm wrench and a phillips screwdriver will get you. this way you can see, without much difficulty, the wiring harness, wire colors/codes, and the origin, destination of each wire. you may be able to see what damage there is, the extent thereof, and which wires are at fault. this won't be too difficult to repair. PLUS, you'll learn more about the quad.
just please be patient.
