right, is it slow off the start or the top speed that you want to work on?

there is one thing you could do but im not sure how it is with noise regulations... if you where to modify the exhaust so its a straight through pipe you could play round with the carb to give a richer mix. this just gives you alot more power if done correctly!! you could attempt to make it as light as you can. for example if it has a kick start and the battery you could take out the battery and just use the kick. make sure the brakes arent sticking and the bearings are all good!! if you give the quad a push it should roll a nice bit before stopping. make sure the clutch isnt slipping. you could also get rid of the rev limiter and install a rev clock to keep an eye on it so you dont destroy it!! what you could also do for a tiny bit more of free power, on the spark plug (first of all make sure its a good one) then make the gap face 3/4 the way between the intake valve and the exhaust valve.

Honestly, if you really want a screaming 80/90, and you're going to do a lot of motor work, get a used lt80. You can get those things running so well, your kids will be telling you to get off of it.

the most popular one would be the suzuki lt80 2 stroke.. they can be had used for a similar price to what you probably paid for your daughters quad new, around $600 and there is no end to the money you can spend modifing one of those
