I think I am going to try to change the front sprocket. Right now it has a 14t front sprocket. I am guessing the quad does about 35 mph right now. If I drop it to a 12t, what do you think the torque increase will be like? Also, about how much top speed loss could I expect?

if your rear sprocket is a 37 you will be going from a 2.6fd to 3.08fd
that is about an 18% change so technically it would change your top speed by that much

I switched from a 13-37=2.8 to a 12-42=3.5 if I remember right and it didnt make as much differance as you would think.. still flies on top

sprockets are super cheap (especially front ones).. buy one, try it, if you dont like it you havent lost much..

Does anyone know what a good sprocket ratio for a 110cc would be? 3.08? 3.5?
Can someone tell me how theirs runs with a specific ratio?

I got mine from "whygostock"
they have an ebay store Rear Sprocket Taotao 110 125 110cc 125cc ATV ATA BMX Kazuma Peace Redcat SunL | eBay

but I just called them to make sure I got the right thing.. it was about $30 shipped

you may get a smaller front when you get the rear.. whether or not you end up wanting it the shipping costs about as much as the part, and I bet they would add it in without adding shipping

another thing to keep in mind is you will need a longer chain..
I think on mine I needed a half link, I would order that at the same time. I think I got my half link kit from dennis kirk.. it costs as much as a new chain (~$10?). I ordered a chain that was 2 links longer, then I cut it down too short, then I added the half link. Just the half link would probably do it.
I have a thread about it on here somewhere
