jianshe 250 carb question
So I picked up an unknown 250 utility body atv. Turns out to be a jianshe 250. Has the hensing 230cc engine on it. It was a basketcase. Cdi hooked up wrong. Has a 7 wire cdi. 16 coil stator, and everything is outrageously priced for this thing. Luckily I think everything is working now that I completely rewired the thing and got new coil. Except for the fuel system. It has the mv30 carb. 30mm intake and 45 mm airbox side. First link is what I have. Second is what I want. You all reckon it should work. I did not know if I could change to top load throttle because I have a side operated butterfly. On the kc30 carbs, there are two diaphragms that seem not in the best shape and a plastic fitting on the side that is barbed that looks like a vacuum line or vent tube and can't find anywhere a vacuum line may run to so I was assuming its a vent. Won't run more than 3 seconds. Ether has no effect. I think the enrichener is flooding it out I've soaked the carb, so I'm just buying new thanks for any insight

ether has no effect? wow, so you don't have spark or is your compression gone?
is that one hose/vent you're talking about the overflow vent hose? i wouldn't think it'd run to the intake as a vacuum inducer hose. 2 diaphragms? hmmm...... for a vacuum operated fuel pump? is it similiar to the old suzuki diaphragm fuel pumps from the late 80x to the early 90s?
