Exclamation Tao Tao 125cc, stock tires wear out super fast...

Got this Tao Tao 125cc with 16x8-7 tires, set to 5psi F/R. Got to drive some road to reach the local trails, but that little piece of asphalt is killing the tires big time.

The tires have almost no thread at the center. A buddy has a Mojave, he drives it on the road almost all the time, and the tires still look good after months of on-road use.

The tires on the Tao Tao after two days of on-road easy riding are almost bald, have checked different tire pressures, aligment. No matter what is done the tires are almost useless.

I've got way over 2500 miles on my 2008 Hensim 150cc quad. My tires are only half worn. They say "King" on the side - whatever that means.

But I never drive on pavement - except from offloading the trailer at the street up to my garage, and the other direction of course when loading up.

It's strange, because everything "rubber" on my quad has disintegrated, except for the tires. The tires have been great. The shock eye rubber bushings, the swing arm rubber bushings, the gas tank mount rubber bushings, the rubber snorkle between the air box and the carburetor, the fuel and vent lines, all turned into powder within months and had to be replaced.

Strange...
